Our therapists use evidence-based techniques to help clients improve their communication, build intimacy, and resolve conflicts. We also emphasize the importance of self-care and individual growth.
Communication is the foundation of any healthy relationship, but it can be difficult to know where to start. We offer communication skills training to help you and your partner learn how to communicate effectively and resolve conflict in a healthy way.
Our early attachments to parents / caregivers are of great importance within relationship counselling. We will look at these so that we gain an insight and empathy for each other. It can be very insightful to understand why we behave the way we do in our relationships. Often there are patterns that go way back to childhood.
Intimacy and sex are important aspects of any romantic relationship, but they can be difficult to talk about. Our intimacy and sex therapy services can help you and your partner explore your desires and preferences, and develop a fulfilling and satisfying sex life. We aren’t shy to discuss this and have trained in making these conversations comfortable.
We believe that self regulation and self care are critical for good mental health. This is really important for everyone so that relationships can be maintained and nurtured. We will look at polyvagal theory (the nervous system) and mindfulness and your routines outside of the relationship. We can help you to understand the science around this and support you in your journey to be the most regulated version of yourself.
